Greetings, JG Parents!
In the Garden 🌧 It seems we may never see the sun again, but our Garden is surely happy for the rain! Ms. Natalie will take opportunities this week to show the children how our rain catch system works, illustrated musically in one of her popular garden ditties. Song Books have now been made and we will distribute them soon so you and your child can start singing these favorite tunes together. Garden Day is coming up! If you would like to be a part of our Spring Garden Committee, please send an email to Garden Committee Head, Megan Kendrick (mama to James in Casa and William in Main). Garden Committees members meet 1-2 times on campus for about half an hour before Garden Day and map out where seedlings will go, etc. Garden Committee members also come the day before Garden Day to help with pre-prep. It’s fun, community-building and you don’t have to be a green thumb to join, just willing to pick up a shovel and help out! Join the Garden Committee! mekendrick@gmail.com Email Megan to participate In the Classroom 💕 All of the houses had such fun Valentine Day celebrations last week - a big thank you to all of the parents and teachers who helped make this day so special for our children. Main House Mamas went out of their way to contribute yummy pink and red refreshments to their children's V-day feast; both Henrietta Fai and Megan Kendrick brought crafts and stories to share with Casa kids; Hay House and YCC shared heart shaped cookies they baked themselves then participated in art projects with friends. What wonderful, communal ways to celebrate a holiday centered around the very thing we want in life for ourselves and for our children: LOVE.
